Privacy Policy

Your cards stay your contacts.

BizCard Go helps you scan, organize, search, export, and manage business card contacts. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Information we collect

  • Account details such as your email address, name, login provider, and account ID.
  • Business card images you upload or capture, plus contact details extracted from those cards.
  • App settings such as theme, language, subscription status, and coupon or billing status.
  • Usage information needed to provide the service, such as scan counts, saved contacts, and export actions.
  • Privacy-safe diagnostic events such as a signup, scan, upload, or sharing step starting or completing. These events use hashed anonymous and session identifiers and do not include card images, OCR text, names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, or share-link identifiers.
  • For digital-card links, daily aggregate counts of views, saves, copies, outbound contact actions, and reshares. These counts do not contain copied values, full IP addresses, user agents, or recipient profiles.
  • Payment status and subscription identifiers from Stripe. Full card payment details are handled by Stripe, not stored by BizCard Go.

Digital card sharing

  • You choose a public snapshot before sharing. Unselected structured fields, private notes, raw OCR text, and internal account or card identifiers are not included.
  • If you choose to publish the full business-card image, every detail visibly printed on that image remains readable even when its matching data field is not selected.
  • You can update, regenerate, expire, or stop sharing a link. BizCard Go then blocks its page, contact file, and controlled image routes, but a preview already cached by a third-party messaging, search, or social service may remain in that provider's cache for a period outside our control.
  • Saved-card sharing asks you to confirm that you have permission to share the contact details. This confirmation is a product safeguard and is not legal advice.

How we use information

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To scan card images, extract contact information, detect duplicates, and organize your contact library.
  • To sync your data across web, iOS, and Android app sessions.
  • To process subscriptions, coupons, and plan limits.
  • To provide export, download, customer support, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Service providers

BizCard Go uses trusted infrastructure providers to run the app. Appwrite is used for authentication, database, and file storage. AI/OCR providers may process uploaded card images and extracted text to return structured contact information. Stripe processes paid billing outside the app where available. Google may be used if you choose Google sign-in.

These providers are used only to operate BizCard Go. We do not sell your contacts or use your business card data for advertising.

Your choices

  • You can edit or delete saved card records in the app.
  • You can export your contacts in supported formats.
  • You can delete your account and request full data deletion from the in-app deletion page or through support.
  • You can choose not to grant camera access and upload an image file instead.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and business card data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize data unless retention is required for security, legal, billing, or fraud-prevention reasons.

For digital-card sharing, completed asset-cleanup records are removed after seven days. Revoked or expired link tombstones are retained for up to 30 days so old links remain denied, and daily aggregate action counts are retained for up to 90 days. When a share terminates, its metrics are queued for deletion within 24 hours. Cleanup obligations continue until the referenced files are confirmed deleted.

Security

We use access-controlled cloud services and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid uploading cards or notes that contain secrets, passwords, government IDs, or highly sensitive personal information.

Children

BizCard Go is intended for business and professional contact management. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
